Dr. Patrick Pauken serves as both “Of Counsel” with the law firm of McGown & Markling Co., L.P.A. and Associate Professor of Educational Administration and Leadership Studies at Bowling Green State University ("BGSU").
In 2007-2008, Dr. Pauken served as Chair of the Faculty Senate at BGSU, and currently serves as Secretary to the BGSU Board of Trustees. In 2006, Dr. Pauken was awarded the Faculty Distinguished Service Award.
Prior to becoming a school attorney, Dr. Pauken appeared on Jeopardy! with Alex Trebek.
Dr. Pauken has published articles in West’s Education Law Reporter, The Journal of School Leadership, Journal of Educational Administration, the Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law, and the Australia and New Zealand Journal of Law and Education.
Dr. Pauken served as Program Co-Chair for the Education Law Association National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, in October 2009. Dr. Pauken also recently completed a three-year term on the Education Law Association Board of Directors.
