Dennis M. Whalen has 35 years of school law experience and is a partner with the law firm of McGown, Markling & Whalen Co., L.P.A. Formerly with Whalen & Compton Co., L.P.A., Mr. Whalen serves schools in all areas of school law with a special interest in collective bargaining and other labor and employment matters.
Mr. Whalen has an AV® Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating for ethical standards and legal ability. An AV® certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment and is a testament to the fact that Mr. Whalen's peers rank him at Martindale-Hubbell's highest level of professional excellence.
Mr. Whalen was a charter member of the executive committee of the Ohio Council of School Board Attorneys and served as its second chairperson in 1978.
